Grace To Do Greater Works
John 14:12-14 King James Version (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
As followers of Christ, we must learn to live beyond salvation and live as disciples. We must “rest” in Jesus Christ while “working” in the Kingdom. “Rest”, here, does not mean to sleep or temporarily abandon an assignment. It means that we dwell, find comfort in, and/or feel protected by Jesus. We must allow Him to become our “Place”. Submitting to our “Place” allows Jesus to do a work in us so we can do His work in the world.
On to greater works…
